KALEA-INFORMATIQUE Motherboard tester with LCD screen. Desktop PC interface on PCI port
About this item
- For DESKTOP PCs on PCI port. Compatible with the vast majority of motherboards, including the most recent. This tester will enable you to quickly diagnose the cause of a motherboard fault. Knowledge of English is essential, as messages are given in English.
- This card uses an LCD screen and indicates errors directly on the screen, without using an error code. It is connected to the motherboard via the PCI interface.
- A few explanations on the error codes: When the PC is started, the card will indicate a code corresponding to the current error. This code comes from the BIOS self-test when the PC is booted (Power On Self Test - POST). The richness of the teaching will therefore be proportional to the richness of the motherboard self-test, depending on the type of BIOS and its generation.
- LCD screen: Indicates the code and, if known, its meaning (in English). The display of the words "no debug code" indicates that the card is not working: check the CPU and the power supply. The display FF or 00 at the end of the scroll means that all the tests are positive; if the tester stops at the beginning, without scrolling, on FF or 00, this may mean that the CPU or the power supply have a fault.
- LEDs: 6 diodes covering the following PCI signals: +3.3V / +5V / +12V / -12V / CLK / SYS (the latter should normally flash).
Product description
For desktop PC on PCI port. Compatible with the vast majority of motherboards, including the latest ones. This tester will allow you to quickly diagnose the origin of the failure of a motherboard. Knowledge of English is essential, the messages being given in English. Specifications: This card uses an LCD screen and indicates errors verbatim directly on the screen, without going through an error code. It connects to the motherboard through the PCI interface. Some explanations about error codes: When the PC is booted, the card will indicate a code corresponding to the current error. This code comes from the self-test of the BIOS at PC startup (Power On Self Test - POST). The richness of the teaching will therefore be proportional to the richness of the motherboard self-test, depending on the type of BIOS and its generation. From the error code, either a text message will be displayed, or you will need to refer to the POST databases. LCD display: Indicates the code, and if known, its meaning (in English). No debug code shows that the card is not working: control CPU and power supply. The FF or 00 display at the end of the scroll means that all tests are positive, if the tester blocks from the beginning, without scrolling, on FF or 00, it may mean that the CPU or power supply has a fault. The display "Final code:- -" and "Upper code:- -" means that the card is out of order. If you notice a partial display of values, change the PCI slot. LED diodes: 6 diodes that cover the following PCI signals: +3.3V / +5V / +12V / -12V / CLK / SYS (the latter should normally flash). The presence of 3.3V is essential for the operation of this tester. BIOS Switch (top left): Select BIOS type to display matching codes. There are 3 types to choose from: AMI, Award, Phoenix. A long press will lock the tester to the selected bios, which will avoid having to redo it later. PAGE Switch (top right): A short press allows you to go up one line, a long press allows you to advance 5 steps in the test phase. PCI Interface: For all desktop PCs with PCI bus. Supports ALL motherboards with PCI port. Attention, this tester is not 'hot plug', it must be inserted/removed computer off.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
The package was here in Australia from England in a few days โ so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
