Allows you to test whether all the contactors in a RAM slot are in good condition and active. Instant visual test thanks to a tray of LEDs. Compatibility: Any DDR slot hardware type DDR SDRAM 2 (DDR2) or DDR SDRAM 3 (DDR3). Operating mode: - Insert a battery into the tester (battery not supplied but you can use the motherboard battery for the duration of the test! ) then position the tester on the DDR port to be tested (one side DDR2, one side DDR3), - Press the small button on the tester and view the LEDs. They should all have the same brightness: a diode that is too dark may indicate an open circuit, while one that is too bright may indicate a short circuit, No special skills are required, just one finger to press the button. The motherboard itself does not need to be powered up to test the viability of the contacts.
