K2AQUA Bucephalandra Sanggau Live Aquarium Plant Iridescent Wavy Green Leaves Easy Care Low Light Epiphyte Foreground Midground Shrimp Safe Freshwater Tank
About this item
- SLIGHTLY WAVY LEAVES WITH DARK GREEN TO BLUE IRIDESCENCE: Bucephalandra Sanggau produces elegant foliage with soft undulation and shimmering hues that shift subtly under aquarium lighting, offering refined beauty in compact spaces.
- GROWS IN LOW TO MODERATE LIGHT โ CO2 IS OPTIONAL BUT BENEFICIAL: This plant performs well in low-tech tanks but will reward added COโ and nutrients with deeper colours and tighter growth, especially in more advanced planted setups.
- ATTACH TO HARD MATERIALS ONLY โ NEVER BURY THE RHIZOME: As a true epiphyte, it should be fixed to driftwood, lava rock, or decor using thread or glue. Burying the rhizome will lead to rot and poor growth over time.
- SUITABLE FOR SHRIMP AND COMMUNITY TANKS โ COMPLETELY SAFE: This plant provides shelter, grazing areas, and aesthetic contrast while helping maintain nutrient balance in peaceful aquariums with shrimp, snails, or small fish.
- SLOW GROWING AND EASY TO MANAGE โ PERFECT FOR LONG-TERM AQUASCAPES: Minimal trimming is needed due to its slow growth, making it ideal for aquascapers who prefer structure and low-maintenance beauty in nano or display tanks.
Product description
Bucephalandra Sanggau is a rare and compact aquatic plant originating from the Sanggau region of Borneo. It features slightly wavy, dark green to blue-toned leaves with a soft metallic iridescence that adds depth and texture to any aquascape. Ideal for nano tanks and suitable for both foreground and midground placement, it provides lasting structure and refined contrast in planted aquariums. Like all Bucephalandra, it is an epiphytic rhizome plant that must be attached to hardscape such as rocks or driftwood. It should never be planted in substrate. The plant thrives in low to moderate lighting, and while COโ is not essential, its addition may enhance colouration and promote compact growth. Bucephalandra Sanggau is very slow growing, making it a low-maintenance choice for hobbyists who value stability and texture in their aquarium layouts. It is safe for shrimp and nano fish, and supports biological balance by absorbing excess nutrients.
