Product description
Listing is for Loose Plant. Anubias Short is a compact and hardy aquarium plant known for its broad, deep green leaves and tight, low-growing structure. As one of the smallest forms in the Anubias family, it is perfect for nano tanks, foreground layouts, or as a midground accent in larger aquascapes. Its dense, leafy appearance adds texture and contrast while maintaining a neat and manageable form, ideal for minimalist and nature-style aquariums. This plant thrives in low to moderate lighting and does not require CO₂ injection, making it a top choice for low-tech and beginner-friendly setups. As a rhizome plant, Anubias Short must be attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape—burying the rhizome can cause it to rot. With a very slow growth rate, this plant requires minimal maintenance and is highly resistant to algae and nibbling by herbivorous fish. It also supports a healthy aquarium environment by absorbing nutrients, helping control algae, and providing natural cover for shrimp and fish.
