Product Description Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) is a species of the genus Myristica. The small, round spice imparts a aromatic, earthy taste and is best used sparinngly in a range of dishes both savoury and sweet.Nutmeg is usually grated on/into dishes. It is not only used in sweet dishes (being particularly suited to milky, creamy puddings and desserts) but also is great in potato dishes such as dauphinoise. It is also delicious used in Gratins and rice dishes.Try adding a sprinkling on top of a frothy coffee, or as a warming touch to a casserole.Our Ground nutmeg is steam sterilised and hygenically packed.
