Product description General: thanks to the high absorbency and good odour retention, the original Jumbogras is ideal as a small animal bedding. Over the course of the first week after the basic litter, a "mattress" forms, with the lower part binding the urine and has both heat and cold insulation, while the upper part remains drier and looser. Contents: jumbo grass bedding is made from 100% biomass without additional additives. The dried stems of the high China grass (elephant grass, jumbo grass, botanical Miscanthus x giganteus) are harvested with the chopper in March/April and crushed to 2-3 cm stalk length (individual outliers are possible). The residual moisture at this time is only 8% – 14%. This makes the material extremely absorbent and also easy to store. Disposal: While manure from wood chips or sawdust can only be disposed of via the organic bin, jumbo grass bedding is an excellent fertiliser that can also be applied in the home garden and in the vegetable patch. The shredded material can also be used very well as a bark mulch replacement in the garden, but only by the way.
