No lights or sounds when recording, transferred by 3.5mm Jack plug to USB lead to transfer files to any windows operating PC and laptop or iOS MacBook operating systems. The main technical concerns are sound quality and battery life. It sounds great and works for 38 hours on single charge and takes 60 minutes to recharge. The sound activation is good and saves battery life but it does miss parts of sound or conversation. Its intelligent chip to reduce unwanted noise recordings can be too clever at times. It is also very impressive and what is recorded is clear and usable as evidence if required. Each recording made has time/date/length and file number with easy playback via PC USB connection. The record length of each file is continuous and will be saved as a single audio file when stopped. If it shuts down automatically or battery is low any recordings will beamed before shutting down.
