The JF-U1 3-in-1 Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote Control is a versatile, reliable wired or wireless remote control kit that will trigger off-camera flash units and studio lights from up to 30 metres (100 feet) away. The cables to connect the camera are <B>not</B> included with the unit - they must be purchased separately.<BR><BR>The JF-U1 can also provide the convenience of a wireless camera shutter release, ideal for photographing wildlife, and also for macro and close-up photos, where the slightest camera movement can ruin a picture. Working on the 433MHz frequency gives you reduced radio interference and an extended range - you don't need to have line-of-sight alignment, either, as radio waves will pass through walls, windows and floors. The remote trigger operates with flashguns that have a trigger voltage of up to 60V, whereas many similar models can only work with much lower trigger voltages.<BR><BR>To use the JF-U1 as a wireless camera remote, you have to connect the camera to the receiver using a separately available connecting cord. The transmitter can then be used as a hand-held remote control. The shutter button of the transmitter has two pressure-points; a half press will focus and a full press will release the shutter. The remote trigger even supports taking time exposure and continuous shooting. On cameras where the video function is controlled by the photo shutter button, you can even start and stop video shots using JF-U1 remote trigger. By connecting the transmitter directly to the camera using a separately available connecting cord you can use it like a standard wired remote cord.<BR><BR><B>NOTE:</B>Since the JF-U1 does not transmit TTL settings, use a flash or light unit with full manual control is recommended. You need to set the power output manually.
