Part of the jigtech system, This tubular privacy smart latch features a stylish round design that allows for quick installation with no chiselling (the only chiselling required is for the strike plate lip). this push button privacy latch is an ideal alternative to deadbolt lock and bathroom turn combo. As the locking mechanism is part of the latch and levers you no longer need a separate deadbolt and thumb turn and release. This saves on installation time and money. The privacy function works by pushing in a Pin located on the rose of the door handle. This prevents the handle on the opposite side of the door from being turned. To unlock the door, simply use the handle as normal. The system features an emergency release function on the outside handle for safety. The latch comes with a round strike plate and tidy (It also comes with a rectangular one too) and A jigtech spacer. The spacer helps ensure the latch and handles all fit securely together as they should. The latch is designed for use with jigtech handles fitted with privacy rose covers (sold separately) and is to be installed with the jigtech Jig.
