Product Description The Tornado project was born from the collaboration of Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom with the aim of developing a powerful multi-purpose combat aircraft. A two-jet aircraft with two-seat configuration and swing wings was developed to better fulfil its main task: a supersonic fighter bomber at low altitude that can follow the terrain profile. The Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike), ideal for attack missions, was the first model used by the flying operational associations of the three countries involved in the development. Specimens specifically designed for the British Royal Air Force were designated as Size 1 and were actively used during the 1991 Gulf War, performing a large number of missions.
