The Dodge WC62 was widely used during World War II by the US Army. Introduced in 1943 it was evolved and declined in numerous versions, including the 1.5 ton truck with all-wheel drive six-wheel drive. The addition of a third rear axle allowed the Dodge to carry a large load of material or 12 fully equipped soldiers in all conditions and contexts. Extremely robust and reliable thanks to the powerful 92 HP in-line Dodge engine, robust chassis and leaf suspension, it was an effective solution, even on difficult terrain, to the logistics needs of the US Army.
