The Volvo F16 launched in 1988 has achieved considerable commercial successes, mainly due to its innovative drive train line, which achieved high mileage, low fuel consumption, and low operating and maintenance costs. The extraordinary properties of the 6-cylinder engine have been complemented by the innovative Globetrotter cabin, which ensures exceptional comfort on board. The robust frame served as a development platform for the creation of numerous special equipment to meet a wide range of customer needs. A configuration that was especially appreciated and used by long and medium distance logistics was the Canvass rear deck. This feature is characterised by a good room/size ratio and has been further enhanced by the rear hydraulic platform, which facilitated easy loading and unloading of the goods.
