Product Description In 1976, the FIA introduced a new Group 5 with specific rules reserved for "special" series vehicles in the international racing scene. The new regulation prescribed a similar body width to the series vehicles, but to which larger mudguards could be fitted to benefit from the increased gauge widths and oversized tyres. BMW participated in the Group 5 competition with a special version of its new top model, the E21 "320". A new aerodynamic profile with large mudguards has been developed and a powerful motor of 300 HP. The car was successfully used by the official team of the Munich manufacturer and also formed the basis for the training of young young drivers.
