Product Description The Panzerkampfwagen V "Panther" was certainly one of the most famous tanks of the Second World War. It emerged as a direct response to the Soviet tanks T-34 and KV-1, which were far superior in their performance and armament to the Panzer III and Panzer IV on the Eastern Front. It was powered by a V-12 Mayback engine with 700 hp and was equipped with an extremely effective 75 mm 42 KwK gun at high speed, especially for anti-tank defense. Thanks to a solid construction that optimises protection, mobility, speed and armament, the Panther can be considered one of the best tanks of World War II and has been used on all major fronts from Italy to France to the Eastern Front.
