Iris pseudacorus - Yellow Flag Iris - X 30 Seeds- Pond or Garden Perennial

• The only native Iris to the UK. It can be seen growing wild in boggy areas, stream and pondside during the summer months. It can be very vigorous in boggy ground and is best grown in containers in ponds.
• Produces beautiful yellow flowers and is the origin of the famous Royal French emblem, the Fleur-de-lis. Loved by bees and other pollinating insects.
• Iris seeds need a period of cold (stratification) to break the natural seed dormancy and allow germination to occur. We recommend sowing the seed in Autumn and leaving in coldframe or cold greenhouse and leaving overwinter to germinate naturally in Spring, usually May depending on the weather.
• Alternatively seed can be stratified in early spring from January onwards by placing in dampened vermiculite, perlite or compost in a sealed plastic bag or container and placing in the salad drawer of the fridge for 6-8 weeks, the sow under gentle heat 18-22C
