Index Marine Cable Gland DG20P Deck Gland IP 68 rated Plastic 20mm Cable Gland DG series Deck Glands are easy to fit and do not require the removal of any connectors that may be pre fitted to cables when installing. When fitted properly they allow cables or pipes to pass through boat decks, caravan roofs, walls, boxes and any surface that faces a wet or demanding environment. They ensure that any dust or water from outside can not pass to the inside, however extreme external conditions may be. Most of our cable glands have un-drilled solid rubber centre bungs that can be drilled to suit to allow one or many cables to be passed through the same gland. Following the instructions supplied, the tapered centre bung seal can be drilled to take as many cables as required, and if necessary, slit to allow passage of a cables with connectors fitted. Please remember to choose a gland with a large enough aperture to take any connector, not just the size of cable. For example a 10mm diameter cable with a 23mm diameter plug on the end will not fit through a 20mm gland but would require a 30mm gland.
