Otherwise named the Japanese blood grass for it’s deep red colouring, Imperata are deciduous, perennial grasses than will form loose clumps of green grass like leaves with a deep red tinge, flowering in late summer with silvery blooms. Makes for a striking, yet subtle patio feature and the grassy leaves blowing in the breeze will add a Zen feel to the garden.
