Impair & Valse is 100% gypsy waltzes. These bravura pieces, full of balance and finesse, are pure products of the musette tradition that reigned in the popular dancehalls of Paris before the war. First released in 1999, Romane s album gives us the chance to hear some of the diamonds in the crown of the six-string guitar. Driven by the same master-class approach he s used in teaching hundreds of musicians, Romane has made the scores of these waltzes an integral part of his repertoire.
