Ilex crenata 'Luxus' is a compact and hardy Japanese Holly perfect for creating neat evergreen domes or low hedges. Its glossy dark green leaves form a dense, well-branched framework that adds year-round structure to borders and containers. This male cultivar produces very few berries, making it ideal for gardeners who prefer tidy foliage without fruit. Resistant to disease and extremely cold tolerant, 'Luxus' is a superb alternative to traditional boxwood, offering low maintenance and reliable performance in various garden settings. This versatile plant adapts well to pruning and thrives in full sun or semi-shade positions in moist, free-draining soil. It is equally suited to patio containers or garden borders, where regular feeding and watering encourage healthy growth. 'Luxus' is a strong, attractive addition to formal and informal gardens alike, providing excellent texture and evergreen interest throughout the year.
