Product description In SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, a game for 1 to 4 players, you run a scientific institution tasked with searching for traces of life beyond planet Earth. The game draws on current and emerging technologies and efforts in space exploration. Players will explore nearby planets and their moons by launching probes from Earth while enjoying the ever-changing planetary positions. Decide to land on their surface to collect valuable samples or stay in orbit for a wider study. In addition, by directing your telescopes to observe distant star systems, you will be able to detect traces of undiscovered extraterrestrial signals or exoplanets and collect promising data to examine and study at home. Back on Earth, you can invest in upgrading your equipment so you can analyze incoming data more efficiently, increase your telescope's signal capacity, or increase your resource supply, all to expand the scope of your research that could lead to the discovery of alien life forms. You will also be able to use over 200 cards to help you in your efforts or to direct your research in a particular direction to get extra bonuses and rewards. Each map has unique effects and illustrations and describes real-world technologies, projects and discoveries (such as the ISS, Large Hadron Collider, Perseverance Rover, Voyager Probe and many more).
