The ICY DOCK DuoSwap MB971SPO-B combines a 3.5 inch hot swap HDD bay with a 9.5 mm Ultra-Slim ODD bay in a single external 5.25 inch mounting bay. The strapless design allows for effortless installation or removal of the 3.5" hard drive. Simply insert the bare 3.5" HDD and it's ready to use. So you don't need screws, trays or tools. The push-button ejection mechanism makes it easier to change drives than ever before using a spring-loaded ejector arm. The on/off switch and status LED give you full control of your drive. The lower bay allows the installation of a 9.5mm high optical Ultra Slim drive, making it particularly easy to use and transfer optical media such as CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. Both the 3.5" hard drive and the optical Ultra Slim drive are powered by a single 15 pin SATA power connector, reducing the number of cables and efficiently utilizing the space in your enclosure. Optionally, an additional ICY DOCK 2.5" HDD/SSD Hot Swap Kit can add a 2.5" (notebook) drive to the 3.5" or Ultra Slim ODD bay of the MB971SPO-B.
