The HypaClens Sterile Eyewash is ideal for flushing eyes that have been contaminated with particles, smoke, dust or liquid. The bottles contain a sterile 0.9% saline solution that can also be used to clean wounds. HSE guidelines state that at least 1 litre of eyewash should be available at any given time in work environments where flying debris or chemicals could pose a danger to the eye. Following eye contamination with chemicals or small particles, you should wash the eye out with either clean water or sterile fluid from a sealed container for at least 10 minutes. The HypaClens Sterile Eyewash is intended as a substitute for clean running water in first aid situations — each bottle should only be used once. After the initial use of the bottle, its contents can no longer be considered sterile and could pose a risk of infection. After use, any excess fluid remaining in the bottle should be discarded. The HypaClens Sterile Eyewash is also available in 250ml.
