A HydroSure WRAS Approved 25mm stop tap compression fitting designed designed for underground installation and to shut off or turn on the water flow to 25mm (external diameter) MDPE or HDPE WRAS approved pipe. Often a stop tap is an external valve that controls the flow of water from the main public supply. Each fitting features a widening ‘O’-ring that creates a slide and seal effect expertly engineered specifically for extra protection against leakage. The ergonomically shaped flared edge of the ‘O’-ring slightly protrudes into the centre cavity. When a pipe is installed and water is run through the fitting at high pressures, the anti-perishable and durable ‘O’-ring contracts tightly between the pipe wall and fitting body. This action ensures ultimate protection against water escaping through the exterior of the fitting even at maximum working pressures up to 16 bar for leak-free connections that can be relied upon.
