- EYE-CATCHING HYDRANGEA PLANTS: Hydrangea Paniculata Pinky Winky is a robust garden shrub with strong stems and a compact, upright growing habit. Dark purple-red stems bear lush, mid-green foliage from spring, beautifully complementing the baby pink flowers that bloom from mid-summer.
- SUMMER FLOWERING SHRUBS: From August to September, these Hydrangeas are decorated with conical panicles of green-white buds that open out into clusters of small pink star-shaped flowers with a slightly spicy fragrance. Faded blooms can be left in place to provide winter texture interest and help protect new buds from frost damage the following spring.
- LOW MAINTENANCE GARDEN SHRUBS READY TO PLANT: Position your new Hydrangea plant in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. To promote strong roots, add some organic matter into the soil and water the shrub regularly until fully established. Prune hard in early spring to encourage a spectacular show of flowers.
- HARDY PLANTS OUTDOOR GARDEN READY: These hardy shrubs are supplied in a growerโs pot, ready to be planted out in the garden or in your favourite patio pot. They are able to tolerate cold winter temperatures; however, pot-grown Hydrangeas may need some added protection over the coldest months.
- GROWTH AND SPREAD: These outdoor plants reach an ultimate height and spread of up to 1.5m.
Product description
Hydrangea Paniculata Pinky Winky is a compact deciduous shrub with dark purple-red stems, mid-green foliage, and large conical clusters of summer flowers. Reaching an eventual height and spread of up to 1.5m, these garden plants are ideal for beds and borders but also grow well in patio pots. From August into September, these summer flowering shrubs are covered in panicles of green-white buds that open out into small star-shaped pink flowers. Pinky Winky Hydrangea plants are relatively easy to grow. They prefer a spot in full sun or partial shade and thrive in moist but well-draining soil. For strong roots, add some well-rotted organic matter into the soil before planting and water Hydrangeas regularly until fully established. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain the Hydrangea plantโs neat and tidy appearance. Alternatively, leave the spent flower heads in place and cut back hard in early spring to promote an abundance of flowers in large clusters. Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
