Description This item is a handcrafted costume prop designed for LARP, cosplay, stage use and display. It is not intended as a weapon or as protective equipment and should be used only as part of costuming or non-contact training scenarios. Inspired by late medieval and Renaissance mitten gauntlet designs, this shows the style seen in European plate armor of the 15th and early 16th centuries. Mitten-style gauntlets were favored for their simple construction, making them a recognizable element of medieval armor used by soldiers of the period. The gauntlets are crafted from 18 gauge mild steel with a bright finish and have overlapping riveted plates across the hand and wrist for natural movement. The mitten-style finger section encloses the fingers under a single articulated plate assembly. Each pair has suede inner gloves. Genuine leather straps are fitted to help secure the gauntlets in place while worn as part of a costume or display ensemble.
