Hosta 'Party Streamers' is a unique and eye-catching small variety of plantain lily, ideal for brightening shady corners of the garden. Its long, narrow leaves are a vibrant golden-yellow with delightfully wavy edges, adding colour, texture and movement to beds, borders or patio pots. In summer, the foliage is topped with upright spikes of deep purple flowers that contrast beautifully with the golden leaves. This hardy perennial thrives in dappled shade or part sun and prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. It's a fantastic choice for mixing with broad-leaved hostas, delicate ferns, or pairing with blue-leaved Hosta ‘Silly String’ for a bold foliage display. Growing Advice: Plant in sun or partial shade, ensuring soil remains consistently moist. Improve the soil before planting by incorporating compost or a general-purpose fertiliser into the top 20cm. For containers, use a soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Aftercare: In autumn, cut back old foliage and mulch around the base with well-rotted compost or manure.
