Product description
Bo and Lotte Steffensen founded the company Hoptimist in Aarhus in Denmark in 2009 to restore the classics of Hans Gustav Ehrinreich in the late 1960s like Bimble and Bumble or Kvak. Since then, the beautiful smell of the whole collection has been drawing and bringing us the laughter home. The characters can conjure up a smile and make life and desire to do something. A smile usually begins with a different smile. The Hoptimists are smiling at you, waiting for your reaction. Perhaps a smile, perhaps a pure slap, which sets the figure in motion. She thanks for the attention and bounce with an excess of energy on the spot. Completely predictable and every time. The kids know this intuitive. You immediately see what the Hoptimist gives you when you touch it. The same childish expectation makes adults want to lift their hands and press them lightly on the Hoptimists. The rest is the mechanism. When the energy of the hand compresses the spring, the figure comes to life. Not much, not for long, but the same as we expected. The Hoptimists belong to that great family called Dansk Design. From Kay Bojesens Monkey to the pH lamp. The family has one thing in common: the design holds. But the Hoptimists are more than just retro design. BO and Lotte offer classic figures with materials, printing and production in Denmark. The furniture designers Hans Gustav Ehrenreich, created 1968 the Hoptimists. If we continue to develop the design today, then in the spirit of Ehrenreich. Its fundamental idea was the design of the Hoptimists with starting point in a circle and an ellipse. Its basic idea was the design of the Hoptimists with starting point in a circle and an ellipse. Meanwhile, there are also many special Bimble and Bumble as love symbols, clowns for the action Red Noses for the hospital
