The Danish glass brand Holmegaard dates back to 1814, in which Count Christian Conrad Sophus Danneskiold-Samsøe asked the royal house to establish a glass hut in the Holmegaard Moor near Fensmark. Since 1823, the Holmegaard Moor glass has been produced for daily use. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the management of mass products for the household sector has decided to increase distance and produce high-quality glasses and objects. Special highlights are the designer Jacob E. Bang with collections such as Palet in poppy colours and Per Lütken with the drinking glasses Idéelle, No. 5 and ship glass as well as his bowls Selandia and Provence. Around 2010, the Danish Rosendahl Design Group took over the label and closed the factory in Holmegaard. The traditional glass brand has been presenting design highlights such as Design with Light by Marie Berntsten, Old English by florist Claus Dalby or the drinking glass series Perfection from Danish sommelier Tom Nybroe.
