The basic way to use the Hobonichi Techo is to combine the planner with covers of various designs, functions and sizes. Choose a cover that best suits your lifestyle and preferences.
• PEN HOLDER LOOPS – The “butterfly-stopper” pen holder loops act as a hinge, keeping the cover safely shut while you store a pen inside.
• COLLABORATION with MAKOTO MATSUBAYASHI – This planner cover collaborates with Makoto Matsubayashi, a printmaker and an artist based in Kochi Prefecture of Japan. White flower designs are drawn boldly on a silver background with strokes of a crayon. The design creates a cool and warm impression to coexist in one planner cover.
• TWO BOOKMARKS – The cover contains two bookmarks, one with a rectangle charm and the other with a flower charm, so you can keep your place in two parts of the book, such as the monthly calendar and the daily page. The flower charm was also designed by Makoto Matsubayashi.

Due to the structure of the cover that opens flat 180 degrees, exterior stitching areas may appear puckered and lining material may be loose. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53") in diameter. The cover's color and print pattern are created by dyeing or printing onto white fabric. While we take care to ensure consistency during production, slight variations in color or pattern may occur between individual items. This may also happen across a single cover, such as a pocket compared to the rest of the cover. Minor print blurring or uneven coloring may also be present. In addition, on rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the print. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
