Product Description Designed by the "enemy of the people" Tupolev, the Tu-2 medium bomber were regarded as one of the best bomber in the last years of the WWII. The program started in May 1940, under the requirements of the government and took its first flight after 7 months. The first production Tu-2 were built and named on 22 August 1942 and the first corps equipped with Tu-2 went into battle at Leningrad 2 months later.
