At HKS the colour formulas are carefully matched to paper quality and printing methods to ensure the highest possible colour identity. The HKS K colour fan documents the effect of 88 classic HKS and 2 metallic colours on painted paper with different substrates and printing techniques. Each blade also contains valuable hints about the effect and characteristics of the respective colour. Substrate: Since then, the HKS-K fan has been printed on original art paper Phoeno Grand 115g/m2 by Scheufelen. Since today the majority of print orders are produced on glossy photo paper, this practice has now been met and the HKS-Trademark Association e.V. has decided to use the Praxiprint printing printing material 115g/m2 for the new edition of the current HKS-K compartments. In order to offer the best possible colour fidelity even over a large period of time, the original recipes of the HKS shades have not been changed. Due to the changed paper characteristics, some original shades may be noticed a visual difference in colour compared to previous fan editions. Therefore, we recommend that you always refer to the current edition of the HKS compartment when choosing colour and print coordination.
