Description The Hifime S2 is a USB DAC with an additional optical input (spdif). It is based on ESS Technologies' ES9038q2m Sabre DAC chip, the latest generation of mobile hifi DACs, which succeeds the ES9023, ES9018k2m and ES9028q2m. It is a high-performance 32-bit stereo DAC, featuring the patented 32-bit HyperStream II DAC architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. It is more powerful with 49mW output power at 32 ohms and can handle most headsets as well as line-level loads (preamps and amplifiers). We built this DAC to use interchangeable cables, so you can use it with any device without an adapter. The DAC has a microUSB female connector and we have cables available for connection (not included).
