The HiFiBerry Digi+ is a high-quality S/PDIF output board for the Raspberry Pi model A+/B+ and the new Raspberry Pi 2. It is designed as an additional board that connects to the P1 and P5 heads of the Raspberry Pi. - Dedicated S/PDIF interface chip supports 192kHz/24bit resolution. - Optical (Toslink) and electrical outputs. - Perfect output, audio data stream will not be changed in any way. - Connects directly to Raspberry Pi, no additional cables required. - No soldering. The Digi+ comes as a pre-made kit. Just plug it into the Raspberry Pi B+. The board complies with the Raspberry Pi Hardware Specification (HAT). This means it fits perfectly with your Raspberry Pi B+. - Powered directly by Raspberry Pi, no additional power supply. - Built-in EEPROM for automatic setup (with write protection). Note that this feature is still under development by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. You will be able to upgrade your HiFiBerry DAC+ when it is officially available. The sound card still works without this feature. - Comes with all necessary components to mount it. We include 4 spacers M2.5 x 12mm to fix the board on the Raspberry Pi. Important note: If the hardware is capable of outputting DTS/Dolby Digital, the software has been adapted for support. We will support the developers to implement this. We cannot guarantee that this feature will work with specific software. Please consult the software developers if this is supported.
