Product Description 30 VTabs of Whole Grape extract together with a guaranteed Resveratrol content, to provide great antioxidant content, protect good cholesterol levels and maintain skin health. Free from sugar, lactose, yeast, gluten and wheat. Grapes are a rich source of antioxidants, including quercetin, resveratrol and proanthocyanidins. Proanthocyanidins are a class of nutrients belonging to the flavonoid family, and are found mainly in the seeds and skin of grapes. Flavonoids and proanthocyanidins are not classified as essential nutrients because their absence does not induce a deficiency state, however, they may have many health benefits, as they are a significant source of anti-oxidants which seem to be particularly good at maintaining the health of the skin. Wine, especially red, appears to be the primary dietary source of resveratrol, which is a naturally occurring antioxidant. This cardiovascular benefit may be down to resveratrol's ability to help maintain blood fluidity and healthy levels of 'good-type', HDL cholesterol. Due to the risks involved with drinking alcohol, drinking red wine cannot be recommended as a means of obtaining sufficient Resveratrol.
