Artichoke is one of the world's oldest human-used plants, with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all placing great value on the plant as a digestive aid. In the 16th century Artichoke was also favoured as a food by royalty. Artichokes contain a wide number of active constituents, including Cynarin and Caffeoylquinic Acid which help to maintain healthy bile production and so reduce mild indigestion as a digestive aid. It is thought that Artichoke can also help maintain healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels. This great digestive supplement combines a standardised extract, high in Caffeoylquinic Acids and Cynarins, with whole powder for maximum effectiveness.
