The sponge is cut into half expertly to give you a true flat surface for applying effects, while the curved side at the back provides the perfect grip in your hands. Now you don’t need to worry about cutting a whole sponge and risk having it fall to pieces. Our experts provide you with a half sponge that maintains full strength with a guaranteed working surface. Small chunks can be cut off from outside edge for use in detailing.
  • CHOOSE ACCORDING TO LENGTH OF WORKING SURFACE REQUIRED. The size options allow you to choose the exact length of the working area you require for the task at hand. The corresponding width you receive will be around 70% to 100% of the length chosen due to the natural variation of sea sponges.
  • VARIETY OF EFFECTS POSSIBLE. The flat surface of the sponge has bigger holes and so gives a broader, spaced out pattern. The curved surface of the sponge has a fluffier nature allowing you to create finer patterns. Possible effects include Texturing, Sponging, Marbling, Faux Finishes, staining, stippling and many more. For certain paint types such watercolours remember to dampen the sponge before using.
