• Size: blades that are longer than 10 inches or women's figure skating shoes larger than a size 8 may be too long, depending on the specific blade design. Longer blades can be found in the extra long version.
• Installation: you need to screw in four screws to hold the guards together. You may need to cut the guards. Instructions included cutting tip: if you put a little cooking oil on your knife, it is much easier to cut the guards.

The guards are made to fit most figure skate blades and some hockey blades anywhere from 6 inches to 10+ inches long (the upper limit varies by shape and type of blade). Simply use the included sizing chart to mark and cut the guards as short as you need them to leave a small gap between the two pieces of the guard. The included springs hold the guards securely in place while you walk, and make it easy to put them on and take them off quickly.
