Sir Quentin Blake CBE is one of the most prolific and certainly the best-loved of British illustrators. He continues to draw into his 80s. He was Head of Illustration at the Royal College of Art, became the First Children’s Laureate and was an occasional presenter of the BBC children’s story-telling programme Jackanory. His huge fabric mural opposite St Pancras station is an “imaginary welcoming committee” that greets arrivals to the UK from the Eurostar.
