- GREEN-LIPPED MUSSEL: a.k.a. New Zealand Mussel usually has brown/green shell with a green 'lip' around it edges. It is one of the largest species of mussels - it can reach 240 mm in length.
- USED FOR CENTURIES: These mussels have been used as food by native Maori people for centuries. They are known for their anti-inflammatory properties as they are rich in Glycoproteins. They also contain Omega-3 fatty acids: EPA and DHA, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
- PRODUCTION METHOD: The mussels are pressure-extracted from their shells so they do not lose their nutritional benefits during processing. We have added Vitamin C - it complements the mussels as it contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage.
