Gong-Gi is played in several rounds, with increasing levels of difficulty as the game progresses. The goal is to perform specific actions with the stones while adhering to the rules of each round. Basic Rules 1. Scatter the five pieces on a flat surface. 2. Round 1: One by One: Toss one stone into the air. While it’s airborne, pick up one of the stones on the ground and then catch the airborne stone before it lands. Continue until you’ve collected all four stones. 3. Round 2: Two by Two: Toss one stone into the air. Pick up two stones from the ground before catching the tossed stone. Repeat this process until all stones are collected. 4. Round 3: Three and One: Toss one stone into the air. Pick up three stones from the ground and catch the airborne stone. Then repeat with the remaining single stone. 5. Round 4: Four at Once: Toss one stone into the air. Pick up all four stones from the ground before catching the airborne stone. 6. Final Round: Back of the Hand: Toss all five stones into the air. Catch as many stones as possible on the back of your hand. Toss the stones from the back of your hand and catch them in your palm. Count how many you successfully catch. Winning The player who completes all the rounds successfully or catches the most stones in the final round wins. Players can add variations or penalties to make the game more challenging and fun.
