If a child does not cooperate, the test can be shown and the tester can observe whether the child tries to grasp one of the objects apart from the ball (the fish, the star or the tree). If this occurs, the test is normal. If it does not happen, the test cannot be considered pathological for certain and may be repeated some time later.
