Product description
GESIPA blind rivet. Technically, the blind rivet consists of two components, the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel. While the component must always be accessible on both sides, the blind rivet is really special that only one-sided component accessibility is required. Sustainably connect During the setting process, the rivet mandrel is pulled with the chuck jaws of the setting device and thus deforms the hollow rivet to the predefined, firm fit in the component. Finally, the rivet pin tears off at the intended place, the predetermined breaking point and can be fed to recycling. The residual rivet mandrel is the residual mandrel remaining in the hollow rivet and can assume an additional safety function depending on the application. For any application case Blind rivets are available in a wide range of shapes, materials, shapes, lengths and also colours. Depending on the task that a blind rivet is to fulfill, Gesipa can be selected between a standard model available from stock or a blind rivet specially designed for an application. A rule of thumb: Jointed material + rivet diameter = rivet shaft length. Terms The blind rivet consists of two parts: the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel. The hollow rivet consists of the setting head and the hollow rivet shaft. The set head is located on the processing side and is variable in diameter and shape. It is available in the variants flat round head, countersunk head and large head. The rivet shaft is available in various lengths depending on the material thickness to be riveted. The rivet mandrel has the task of deforming the rivet shaft. It contains the predetermined breaking point. Here the rivet pin tears off after the rivet has been completed. The residual rivet mandrel is the proportion of the rivet mandrel remaining in the hollow rivet The residual mandrel is the proportion of the rivet mandrel, which is torn off the set rivet by means of a blind rivet setting.
