Corms take 2 steps to make a full bulb, first they make a round which is like a small onion (image 4)(not separate cloves). This round Bulbs can be replanted and you get a full bulb(image 5)( with individual cloves and new corms attached to the outside. To plant the corms it is best to nip the top off the outside shell and soak in water for 24hrs, then carefully remove outer skin (Image 3) before planting. Plant corms so that the pointed end is facing upward and is buried 2 to 4 cm below the surface.For best results plant in good draining, loose and fertile soil in an open position that gets lots of sun. Keep soil moist whilst growing. Harvest the bulbs between May and July when approx. half the leaves have turned brown
