Indexing plungers GN 817, also known as locking plungers or positioning plungers, are used in the form CK when the indexing pin should not protrude temporarily. For this purpose, the knob of the indexing plunger is rotated 90° after the pin has been retracted. The button is then held in this position by a detent notch/ detent groove. Indexing or locking plungers of type BK do not have an indexing notch/groove; with these plungers, the indexing/locking pin automatically returns to the initial position after the button is released.
