GN 831 tension locks are used, among other things, to securely hold flaps, container lids and the like. They are vibration-resistant due to the dead center override. The parts to be connected can be pulled together by up to 5 mm during clamping via the stroke w1 of the clamping hook. The adjustment range w2 is achieved via a spindle M5 of the clamping hook. The shape S prevents unintentional loosening of the clamping fastener. Screws with a low head height, such as hexagon socket head cap screws DIN 6912, should be used to fasten these tension locks. The specified holding force is a guide value for the possible static tensile load of the tension lock.
