Timber These shelves are made from the very best selection of solid oak, containing a whole range of unique natural characteristics such as bows, twists, cracks, knots, shakes, splits and waney edges, making each piece truly one of a kind. As oak sleepers are air dried these features can continue to move until the timber is in perfect equilibrium with its new environment. Wax Finish Because these features are what really set our shelving apart from the rest, we love to enhance them and show them off in their full glory by using a wax finish. We have a selection of two supreme wax finish colours for you to choose from plus one unwaxed option (Natural Oak) if you’d like to use your own finish. Wax doesn’t just make the shelf look good, but it is also very durable and easy to fix any knocks. (The finish colour in the main images above is English Oak) Fixings and Fitting Each shelf comes ready to fit with keyhole brackets in the back, screws, wall plugs and fitting instructions. This fitting method is very versatile meaning these shelves are suitable for all wall types (only solid wall fixings are provided). Safety Warning Always ensure the shelf is securely mounted to a solid wall using the provided fixings. Do not exceed the holding weight of 45kg. Improper installation or overloading may lead to the shelf detaching from the wall, causing injury or property damage.
