Product description
Using the same high quality construction as the X-Pro1 camera, the M Mount Adaptor incorporates precision engineering to provide outstanding result and ease of operation. The exact construction enables the distance from the lens mount to the sensor to be accurately maintained at 27.8mm. This is crucial for the delivery of high quality images. Electronic connections on the M Mount Adaptor pass information to the X-Pro1 body about the attached lens based on pre-registered lens profiles. To use the full function of the M Mount the X-Pro1 firmware must be version 1.10 or later. Once this information is transmitted the M Mount Adapter Settings menu on the rear LCD can be accessed to enable changes to be made for the specific lens. These changes depend on the lens type. Please note that information is not passed from the X-Pro1 to the lens (for example auto focus functions cannot be used). With the M Mount lenses attached, the benefits of the X-Pro1โs Hybrid Multi Viewfinder can still be enjoyed. The Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) and LCD monitor both provide 100% field of view, while on selected lenses the Optical Viewfinder (OVF) displays a bright frame corresponding to the focal length in use. To ensure the Fujifilm M Mount Adapter delivers optimum results, profiles can be created and fine tuned through the X-Pro1โs Mount Adapter Settings menu. This menu allows profiles for up to six lenses to be stored. There are four presets for 21mm, 24mm, 28mm and 35mm lenses, plus two optional settings for additional optics. With the Fujifilm M Mount Adapter attached, profiles can be user-defined based around distortion, peripheral illumination and colour shading corrections. Three levels of distortion correction are available to combat barrel distortion on wide-angle lenses and pincushion distortion on telephoto lenses. Strong, Medium or Weak correction can be selected, or turned off completely. Peripheral illumination controls the amount of darkening at the four corners of an image. Eleven levels of correction can be applied from +5 to -5 (including โ0โ) with the choice of darkening the corners of the image to emphasise a central subject or lightening edges for more even illumination across the frame. Colour shading correction allows each corner of the frame to be colour corrected to combat any shift in colour between the centre and edges of the frame. Corrections can be made to red/cyan colour shading and blue/yellow colour shading from -9 to +9 relative to the green channel.
