Fruit Tree Grease, Winter Monitoring Grease for Pest Detection, Reliable & Cost-Effective, Sticky Barrier for Crawling Insects, Easy Brush-On Application, 200 gm

• WINTER PEST MONITORING SOLUTION: This product is specifically formulated for application during autumn and winter, when many crawling insect pests are most active on tree trunks. By using it during the colder months, gardeners can monitor pest movement early, before insects reach branches to lay eggs or become active in spring. This early monitoring helps support timely garden care and reduces the risk of pest-related damage later in the growing season.
• BRUSH-ON STICKY GREASE: Grease has a smooth, workable consistency that allows it to be easily brushed onto monitoring bands or traps wrapped around the tree trunk. Once applied, it creates a sticky barrier that insects cannot pass, trapping them as they climb. This makes it easy to see pest activity and effectively monitor insect movement during the winter months.
• NON-DRYING, LONG-LASTING FORMULA: The specially formulated grease has a thick, durable consistency that stays sticky even in cold winter temperatures. It does not dry out or harden over time, ensuring continuous and reliable monitoring of crawling insects throughout the entire winter season without loss of effectiveness.
• SUITABLE FOR A WIDE RANGE OF FRUIT TREES: Fruit tree grease is suitable for use on a wide variety of fruit trees, including apple, pear, plum, and other common varieties. It is ideal for home gardens, allotments, and small orchards, making it a practical choice for gardeners looking to protect and monitor fruit trees in different growing environments.
• TRADITIONAL & EFFECTIVE METHOD: This product follows a traditional, proven method of winter fruit tree care that gardeners have relied on for many years. By focusing on monitoring rather than chemical treatment, it supports integrated and responsible garden management practices, helping gardeners make informed decisions while maintaining a balanced and environmentally conscious approach to fruit tree maintenance.

Fruit Tree Grease is a traditional, brush-on winter monitoring product designed to help gardeners identify and manage crawling insect pests on fruit trees during the colder months. Part of the trusted Vitax Enthusiast Range, this specialist grease plays an important role in winter fruit tree care by supporting early detection of pests before they become active in spring. It is suitable for use on a wide variety of fruit trees, including apples, pears, plums, and other orchard or garden-grown varieties. During autumn and winter, many pests such as winter moth females and other crawling insects travel up tree trunks to lay eggs in branches and bark crevices. Vitax Fruit Tree Grease is applied to monitoring bands or traps wrapped around the trunk, where it forms a sticky barrier that captures insects as they attempt to climb. This allows gardeners to clearly see pest activity levels and take appropriate action at the right time, helping to reduce potential damage to blossoms and fruit later in the season. Application is straightforward: the grease is brushed onto a suitable band or trap positioned around the tree trunk, usually in autumn before pests become active. Regular checks during winter help monitor insect activity, and bands can be refreshed as needed to maintain effectiveness. This simple routine can make a noticeable difference to fruit tree performance in the following growing season. Fruit Tree Grease offers a reliable, time-tested solution for winter pest monitoring. Cost-effective, easy to apply, and highly practical, it is an essential addition to any fruit tree maintenance programme. By helping gardeners stay one step ahead of potential pest problems, it supports healthier trees, improved yields, and a more productive garden year after year.
