Product description My meditation stools are all handcrafted using English oak from sustainable sources often from our own woodland. For the finish I have used Linseed oil which allows the beauty of the grain to shine through. The legs and attached with a set of good quality, hinges that will give many years of use. The legs are also angled outwards so that they are not able to fold in on themselves and are rounded at the base so that you can rock into a comfortable position. The stool is designed to let you sit (kneel) in a position that keeps the spine and back straight. This enables the user to meditate in a comfortable position with the body relaxed so that the mind is free to focus without distractions. Body weight is supported by the stool rather than the knees and this allows for long periods of uninterrupted meditation without discomfort and more importantly distraction. The folding legs also allow easy transport and storage. The dimensions of the stool are: The seat is 46 cm or 18 inches in length. Height is 19 cm at the back sloping to 17 cm at the front. Weight varies between 1.8- 2.2kg or 4 and a half to 5 pounds. I am more than happy to customise height and other dimensions as required. Safety Warning Do not exceed a weight limit of 100kg (220lbs). Always ensure the stool is fully unfolded and stable before use. Keep fingers and other body parts away from the folding mechanism.
