• Meet the Hive Fire Starter, it's not your typical rounded Ferro Rod! The Hive is hexagonal with six flat sides. The flat striking surfaces create more contact between the Ferro Rod and striker which causes more material to be removed when striking, meaning larger showers of molten sparks!

• Both Ferro Rod sizes are super thick, ensuring longevity and allowing for up to 20,000 strikes. All of our Ferro Rods are manufactured using our Forest Fundamentals Ferrocenium blend. We tried and tested numerous Ferro Rod compositions till we had perfected the optimum balance between softness and durability. Our Ferro Rods throw down large showers of molten sparks, but we were also careful not to make the rods too soft to ensure longevity.
